Hello fellow internet traveler! I am Allan, the pastor of Oak Hill UMC and it is a great honor and privilege to be able to welcome you to our internet home. Let me take a few moments to introduce myself to you and give you a few hints as to what you will find should you join us for worship. It is an exciting time in the life of our church as we continue to look at ways to improve our visibility both electronically and physically while continuing to maintain Christ centric worship that is scripturally based.
As previously mentioned, I am Allan the pastor of this wonderful church and I wanted to share a little bit of information about myself with you. I am currently a Full-Time Local Pastor in the UMC serving both Oak Hill and Pisgah UMC in the Ware Place and Fork Shoals areas of southern Greenville county. I am working toward my Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Wesleyan University and after that I will head to seminary to finish out my requirements for ordination in the UMC. Life stays busy keeping up with the requirements of school, family, and church but it is truly a blessing to be able to serve in this special way that God has called me.
We at Oak Hill are pleased to announce that we now offer ‘Sound Mate’ assisted listening devices at all of our services along with our newly updated sound system! Should you visit and require the use of the assisted listening devices please ask any member of the church or myself for assitance. Our sermons can be found on the ‘Sermon’ page and each Sunday’s sermon will be loaded by the following Monday. We pray that you will consider joining us for worship and becoming a part of the growing excitement surrounding us here at Oak Hill.
We will move forward from this point seeking to be an active place of worship in our community, a church open to the needs of those around us. As a United Methodist congregation we seek to live out our lives as the body of Christ with open hearts, open minds, and open doors! You will always be welcome at Oak Hill. Please stop in and join us for worship…you just may discover that it feels like home!
